Believe it or not, the holiday shopping season is nearly upon us - and most analysts expect it to be a soft one.

With inflation soaring and supply chain issues worldwide, online sales could see their smallest growth since 2015.

Pre-holiday deals like Tuesday's Amazon Prime Day are eating into the typical Black Friday, and Cyber Monday deals as retailers try to clear out excess inventory ahead of the holiday rush.
